Always open, starting mid May for best results, through early August. The closer you are to July 4th, the better fishing is. Sturgeon fishing in the lower Columbia river is nearly unbelievable. 30-50 fish a day is normal. People get off the boat saying its the best day they have ever had fishing. Biggest fish, most fish. Its incredibly fun!
