6/4/2025 Fisheries managers decided today to extend Spring Chinook Salmon fishing in the river through June 15. Please call me for current information on how well we're doing. So far its been 1-3 fish/day. And I've only been taking 2-3 people/day. Not bad for springers, but definitely not as good as past years during mid May.
Ocean Salmon fishing is right around the corner! Ocean salmon season begins on June 25th and is scheduled to run through September 30. Buoy 10 salmon fishing (river fishing for Chinook salmon) season dates are not yet established for 2025, but it always begins on August 1st and rumor has it we will get until September 6 this year.
Bottom fishing is always open and typically excellent. We just need favorable ocean conditions, which can be hit or miss until about July. The good news is that winter and spring months are usually fantastic for fishing if conditions are right.
Sturgeon fishing heats up by the end of May. June and July are excellent months with nearly unbelievable action.
