Salmon fishing charters in Astoria are normally very good. We fish the Pacific Ocean in late June, July and early August. Sometimes later into August as well, but usually the river is the better place to fish by sometime in the first half of August. Buoy 10 (Columbia river) salmon fishing is definitely our strength. Anyone can catch salmon in the Ocean. The river is where we seperate the men from the boys, so to speak.
