Bottom Fishing (Rockfish): (2025) January 1 through December 31. We nearly always limit when conditions allow us to fish the ocean! Seabass are most common, also Ling Cod, Kelp Greenling and Cabezon (Cabezon can only be retained July 1 through December 31}.
Spring Chinook Salmon Fishing: (2025) Season dates are not yet established, but we plan on offering trips March 21- April 6. This is a challenging fishery. If fishing was lottery, Springers would be powerball. Big prize, hard to win. The good news is that they are worth the effort. Best eating salmon in the world! Columbia River salmon fishing.
Summer and Fall Ocean Salmon Fishing: (2025) Season dates are not yet establiched, but we plan on offering trips June 22th - September 30th. Ocean salmon fishing charters are normally very good. Early morning depatures and typically a mid day finish. 2 salmon limit, only 1 can be a Chinook.
Buoy 10 (Columbia River) King salmon fishing: (2025) Season dates are not yet established, but we are planning on offering trips August 1st - September 2nd. Typically, a million Chinook pass right in front of Astoria on their annual migration up the Columbia river. Anglers best chance all year of catching king salmon. Book early because this fishery is very popular.
Catch and release Sturgeon fishing: (2025) Always open, starting mid May for best results, through early August. The closer you are to July 4th, the better fishing, it seems. Sturgeon fishing in the lower Columbia river is nearly unbelievable. People get off the boat saying its the best day they have ever had fishing. Biggest fish, most fish. Its incredibly fun!
Summer Chinook Salmon Fishing: (2025) Season dates not year established. 2024 dates were June 16-20. Only 4 days.
Fall Coho Salmon in the Columbia River: (2025) Coho salmon fishing opens with Buoy 10 Chinook season on August 1, but this fish normally begin showing up in the river in late August and continue through mid October.
Dungeness Crab fishing: (2025) September, October, November and December. 12 delicious Dungeness crab per person. You will not find better crab anywhere in the world. Sweet, delicate and incredibly delicious.
Keeper Sturgeon fishing: (2025) Unfortunately, it appears that we will have no keeper sturgeon season below Bonneville dam in 2025. Hopefully next year!
