I had a wonderful time with Captain Jeff and first mate Julianna. Weather wasn't great this time of year for offshore so we stuck to the river and quickly caught our limits of jumbo crab. He showed us how to clean them and then Julianna cooked them all up for us at their place for a feast. We all went home with our limits of crab; cooked and professionally packaged for our voyage. I'll be back for Chinook Salmon and Ling Cod for sure.

If there was 10 stars above I would have clicked that one. This was my groups third crabbing trip in 2 years. We have limited out each of the 3 trips. Jeff is a conscientious skipper and Julie is a great deck hand. We have felt safe and well cared for each time. I'm booking another one for December.

We had an amazing trip with Captain Jeff and Julie last week and I highly recommend you go with them if you want experience, professionalism and fun. My 11year old grandson was absolutely thrilled with the whole experience. We caught our salmon limit and my son and grandson flew back to North Carolina with a huge bag of fillets. It was so much fun and I would absolutely use Astoria fishing for any other trips we might take!

Coho fishing on Columbia River. I had a great experience with Jeff and Julie and caught my limit of coho. When things got slow Jeff was able to figure out where to have success. I highly recommend them and will go again next year.

I went fishing yesterday with Jeff and caught my limit of Coho. At times the fishing was very slow and Jeff worked hard to find where the fish were and once he did all hell broke loose. At one point we had seven fish laying in the bottom of the boat because he and Julie were two busy netting fish to deal with them. It was pretty cool having three on at the same time. I would highly recommend Jeff as a guide and definitely will go with him again next year.

Well-run operation, and I got to learn a bit about a fishery I had very little knowledge in. Would book again!

Jeff and Julie went above and beyond for us! I brought my daughter with us and I was a bit hesitant to do so for obvious reasons. They both treated her exactly how I was hoping they would and we ended up staying in the water to the last minute possible so that she could get her limit! They got us in the fish over and over which ended up getting all six of us our limit! They’re the best! 10/10!! Here’s a few pics!

Julianna and Jeff gave my wife and I the most amazing crab experience. Both have excellent knowledge on where to get the good ones and are very friendly people. Definitely makes you feel like part of the family and to top it off you go to there house after for a 🦀 boil. Will be back for sure.

Went for salmon fishing with a party of 4 at Buoy 10 in August. Amazing experience! Jeff and Julie were both very knowledgeable and helpful. Caught lots of fish. They had free rain gear rentals which was super nice since you can get pretty wet out on the river. Definitely reccomend!

Jeff and Julie do more for their clients than most guides. Rain gear, fish cleaning and vacuum packing. Plus, most importantly, they know how to get on the fish. I've been out several times. We always put fish others.

My son and I had an absolute blast salmon fishing with Astoria Fishing. Jeff and Julie were incredibly knowledgeable and put us on the fish! We caught our limit of salmon. Great time Sturgeon fishing! Went out for a bachelor party with Captain Jeff and his deckhand Julie. It was a trip of a lifetime! We targeted sturgeon and landed over 30 fish, several over 8 feet long. They both had fantastic knowledge of fishing, not to mention made it a great time all around. Jeff and Julie are amazing and we will be booking with them again. They put us right on several schools of seabass and we hit our limit almost right away. they gave us a little tour of the lighthouse with the sea lions and even processed all our fish for us. I caught a crab and Julie cooked it up for us while jeff cut up our fish. We will be using them again no doubt.

Was a amazing day on the water with Jeff and Julie. My friend and his daughter flew out from Pennsylvania, and two other friends from Washington State joined me on a spectacular day of fishing. We caught 25 sturgeon and a few accidental flounder in just a few hours. The sturgeon ranged from 50+ inches to approx 11 ft. Most were in the 6-8 ft range. We will definitely be back.

Cannot begin to tell you how amazing Jeff and Julie were. Easy meet up, they even had rain gear for us to use!! Who does that?!? Jeff had us on the sturgeon almost immediately! Then it was just a whole day of snagging these dinosaurs! Never seen anything like them. We kept laughing and joking and snagging sturgeon! Would absolutely recommend them to anyone, for sturgeon or any other fishing trip!

Their fishing advice allowed us to reach our limit of SeaBass. Jeff is an experienced fisherman and shared his knowledge with us. Julie did a wonderful job on deck. Jeff is a great captain, positive dude. A fisherman among men. An informative advocate of the Columbia River fishery that all Oregonians/Tourists should appreciate and take part of. He took us and our boys out for Springer Salmon fishing – a daunting task considering this elusive fishery is facing so many challenges. I'm a catch and release guy by nature but was really excited to catch/eat/cook a Springer on a Traeger 4 hours from landing at the Clatskanie River Inn. By all means, catch a salmon and eat it the very same day to appreciate how great it tastes and how it makes you feel connected to the river and the ebb and flow of life. We were catching fish nonstop, with double fish-on three times during on our salmon fishing trip, making it an insanely amazing experience! Jeff and Julie treated us like family, which is something we had not experienced with any other charter service, and we have been on several. We were invited to their home where they filleted, cleaned, and vacuumed packed our fish. It made transporting our fish home mess-free. Jeff and Julie live in Astoria year round, so they know all the best fishing spots. Another great crabbing experience with Astoria Fishing Charters! Jeff and Julie are experts, and navigated us through some choppy waves and wind in the Columbia in their awesome boat. They made sure we were all comfy and prepared. The crab pots came up with plenty of crab for everybody. Julie showed us how to prepare the catch (definitely part of the fun!), and cooked it for us with their professional outdoor setup, while we hung out by the campfire and watched the ball game. They also helped us pack our freshly cooked crab for travel home. They have an ice machine and vacuum sealer and a ton of advice on the best way to get your catch back home. Fantastic salmon fishing Jeff and Julie took me on a great fishing experience. They are experienced guides. Jeff is knowledgeable about fishing the Columbia river and the ocean. We caught our limit in salmon in September on the river and in the ocean. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to catch fish. Feels almost redundant based on the 9ther reviews but its no lie Jeff and Julie are the real deal in every way and if you are in astoria they are the way to go. True locals unlike some other companies that only pretend they are actually local but just move around by season. My arms are so tired from all the sturgeon its hard to type this!

I have been fishing all over for 60 years, my wife, her sister and significant other, and I went catch and release sturgeon fishing today. It was the best trip ever, we caught ~45 fish between 4'-8' in 4hrs. Jeff and Julie are amazing.

Jeff and Julie are awesome. We went out for a catch and release sturgeon trip and it was amazing. We caught at least 25 sturgeon on the Columbia, with some of them being 7 and 8 feet long. They were super organized and kept the rods baited and at the same time, they were unhooking hooks for us. They supplied us with gloves and jackets if we wanted to use them on the boat. Highly rated!

I can't recommend them enough. I had so much fun! I have never been fishing. Well, not since I was 5. They were very patient with me, taught me what I needed, showed me and helped me out. They even had rain gear for me to borrow(I thought I was layered enough...not. I froze despite layers, so when you think you have enough, add 3 more, you can always remove them later). We all got our limit. They packaged it up for us and put it on ice for me. They made everything fun yet were still professional. You won't go wrong with Jeff and Julie.

Jeff took us out for Sturgeon on the Columbia River Basin. His communication and information before the trip was excellent. It was the experience of a lifetime! Super fun experience. We originally planned to fish in the Ocean with AFC. Jeff reached out a day prior letting me know Chinook season just opened back on the Upper Columbia and versus dealing with high winds and choppy water in ocean, Jeff said we might have a more enjoyable time with calmer waters and fishing one of his favorite spots. Fishing guide I have been out with several times over the last few years. Jeff knows the Springer Chinook fishery on the Columbia River. He puts in the work to make the chances of success very high. Went out on June 6th, 4 anglers, 7 adult Chinook and several jacks. He works for you.

Full boat limit by 10am. And he said it was a slow day. If limits by brunch is slow I don’t know if I could handle a “good” day! Other than his ability to get you on fish quick and consistently, he’s a genuinely amazing person and a blast to fish with! This man knows his stuff, PERIOD!

6 people on out boat. 6 keeper Chinook Salmon. The fish and wildlife person said she had checked 7 other boats, with a total of 2 fish between them. The proof is in the freezer.

They cook the crab for you in a huuuge pot at there home. Then they clean and package up the fish for you. Awesome people! Couldn't be happier with their hospitality and service! Thanks guys! What an amazing day! Jeff is a master at navigating the waters and finding the fish. Julie, hostess with the mostest, ran around making sure everyone was comfortable and that our lines were well baited and ready for the next fish. At the end of our successful day we were invited to their home where they cleaned, filleted and vacuum packed our catch. Definitely a 5 star day.

I don’t believe we could have had a better fishing experience thanks to Jeff and Julie. Despite having what looked to be 200+ fishing boats out on the water, Jeff was able to put us on top of fish with 5 of the 6 people on the boat landing chinook salmon. We had one coho that was just 1/2” too short to keep and 3 other strikes that were able to break away. As a long time resident of Astoria, Jeff really knew the local waters and was able to find locations that didn’t have 100’s of other people looking for a catch. Jeff and Julie took our catch back to their home and filleted, processed and vac sealed our fish. They also gave us great advice on how to best transport our fish. Definitely one of those rare occurrences where you meet new people as strangers and leave as friends.

All the fish was cut and vacuum sealed for us and even had ice available for three trip home. You won't find a better guide in the area. Fishing with Jeff and Julie was the absolute highlight of our trip on the Oregon coast. We put in on the Columbia and went through the “bar” into the Pacific to catch our limit of Coho Salmon and got a nice hall of crab as well. We saw seals and even caught a glimpse of some whales. The Astoria Fishing team clearly knew the waters better than anyone and was quick to change locations if it didn’t appear they would be fruitful. Coming from a family of fisherman and guides on the gulf coast, I can tell you that you won’t go wrong with this team. On top of being great guides, Jeff and Julie are genuine and kind people which made my 12 year old son’s first trip one he won’t forget. Thank you!! We can’t wait to return and go out again.

Jeff took me and another fisherman out to anchor for some salmon on the Columbia. We caught 4 nice salmon when none of the other 7 boats we could see even got a strike. He filleted our fish and shrink wrapped it for us. He's an honest guy that really knows the local waters. I highly recommend him. An Unrivaled Day What a fantastic day we had. We, a group of 4 friends, were joined by 2 other people for our full day fishing trip. Jeff and Julie provided an amazing experience. Despite several hundred boats on the water, Jeff was able to move us away from the throngs of other hopefuls and put us on top of some incredible chinook salmon. The six of us brought home 5 salmon. Too bad that the one coho we landed was 1/2” too short of the required length. As Jeff and Julie actually live in Astoria and run their business from there, they are more than familiar with the local waters unlike many of the 100’s of other boats that ply the same waters. We especially appreciated the personal service of inviting us back to their home to have our fish processed including filleting and vacuum sealing.

An Unrivaled Day What a fantastic day we had. We, a group of 4 friends, were joined by 2 other people for our full day fishing trip. Jeff and Julie provided an amazing experience. Despite several hundred boats on the water, Jeff was able to move us away from the throngs of other hopefuls and put us on top of some incredible chinook salmon. The six of us brought home 5 salmon. Too bad that the one coho we landed was 1/2” too short of the required length.

As Jeff and Julie actually live in Astoria and run their business from there, they are more than familiar with the local waters unlike many of the 100’s of other boats that ply the same waters. We especially appreciated the personal service of inviting us back to their home to have our fish processed including filleting and vacuum sealing.

Amazing Time Fishing For Sturgeon! My 11 year old son and I had a blast. We've been salmon fishing before in the past on the Columbia, but THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER. Jeff and Julie were great. Lots of fun. Where else can each of us in the boat catch multiple giant fish in 7 hours. Definitely child friendly guide. This is a must do if your planning on going to the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our fishing trip with Jeff and Julie. They were efficient and knowledgeable and really went the extra mile to make sure we had a fun and successful trip. They cooked the crab for us (delicious recipe) and filleted our salmon. Really provided exceptional service. We had the best time. Thank you Jeff and Julie, you guys are awesome!

One of the best trips I have ever been, Jeff and Julia were absolutely the best hosts, they went way beyond what a typical service does, very friendly, they cooked our crab and let us dine with them at the fire side, while filleting our all of our salmon. Jeff was very knowledgeable about his trade, and shared some of his tricks, and Julia made sure we were comfortable and stayed dry by providing us with rain gear. Truly a great trip, and I plan to use them more in the future.
